Residential Support Worker

Location: Knowsley, Merseyside

Salary: £DOE + Sleep-In Allowance

At Capricorn Care NW Ltd, we are committed to providing high-quality, nurturing care to children within our residential homes. Our focus is on creating a safe, supportive, and stable environment where children can develop, grow, and achieve positive outcomes. We are looking to recruit Residential Support Workers who have experience working with and supporting children, particularly those with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Successful candidates will be passionate about making a difference, building positive relationships, and supporting children in all aspects of their daily lives.

We value a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve and actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We are particularly keen to recruit staff who can support children with a range of cultural and communication needs. This role involves working on a rota basis, including long shifts, sleep-ins and/or waking nights, and weekend working. Experience in residential childcare is essential, and a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) is desirable. We are committed to providing enriching experiences for the children in our care, including holidays and trips away. Staff will be expected to support and engage with children during these opportunities, helping to create positive and lasting memories.

Team Leader 

Location: Knowsley, Merseyside
Salary: £DOE + Sleep-In Allowance

Capricorn Care NW Ltd is seeking an experienced Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of our home and lead shifts in delivering high-quality care to children.

You will support the management team, guide staff practice, and ensure care is delivered in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. Building positive relationships, promoting stability, and achieving positive outcomes for children will be central to your role.

Requirements:

  • Experience in residential childcare

  • Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Ability to lead shifts and support staff

Desirable: Level 5 (or working towards)
